DashCue Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
DashCue is an iPhone app that shows widgets on your CarPlay screen, tracks your drives and remembers where you parked. It has no account and no server of its own. This policy says what leaves your iPhone, and what does not.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your drives: speed, time and distance, and where each drive ended. DashCue does not keep the route.
- Your parking spots: where you parked, your photo of the spot and your note.
- Your calendar: DashCue reads your upcoming events to show your next stop and when to leave. Event titles and places are never sent anywhere by DashCue.
- Your photos: photos you choose for the Photo widget or a parking spot are copied into DashCue's storage on your iPhone.
- Your settings, themes and sounds.
DashCue never collects your location. To show the weather at your destination and walking directions to your car, the app asks Apple Weather and Apple Maps for them, which means Apple receives a location for that request, under Apple's own privacy policy.
What leaves your iPhone
DashCue uses two service providers, and only for these purposes:
| What | Who | Why | Linked to you? | Tracking? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Purchase history: which one-time purchases you own | RevenueCat | To unlock and restore what you bought | Linked to an anonymous ID RevenueCat creates; no name or email | No |
| Product interaction: events such as "a drive started", "a spot was saved", "the paywall opened" | PostHog | To learn which features help and fix what doesn't | Linked to an anonymous device ID | No |
| Crash data: JavaScript errors and the screen they happened on | PostHog | To fix bugs | Linked to the same anonymous device ID | No |
These events never contain your location, calendar event titles, notes or photos; the app removes such fields before anything is sent, and IP-based location is switched off. DashCue does not show ads, does not sell data, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your choices
- Location, calendar, photo, camera, notification and alarm access can each be turned off in Settings > Apps > DashCue. The app keeps working; the features that need them stop.
- Deleting the app deletes everything DashCue stored on your iPhone.
- To ask for the anonymous analytics or purchase records tied to your device to be deleted, email us at the address below with the version shown in DashCue's Settings.
Children
DashCue is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update this page when what DashCue collects changes, and change the date above.
